Powder Foundation Favorites

I decided to do a little review on two of my favorite powder foundations.

The first one is by Covergirl and it's their clean powder. Now I've only had this for about two days but I'm already in love with it. It goes on so smoothly and doesn't clog my pores or anything. It also matches my skin tone quite well. I hate cakey makeup so I'm definitely thankful for a powder that provides full coverage without being too heavy. The one I bought is for oily skin and let me tell ya, this is like my savior. It keeps my face dry all day but not like the harsh dry that people hate. It's perfect and fairly cheap.

The second one is the Neutrogena healthy skin pressed powder. I've been using this one for about six months now and I do like it. It's been one of my favorites for awhile now. It doesn't make my skin blotchy or cakey. I also found that I don't break out as much using it. It also provides full coverage. The reason it's no longer my number one is because it's bit more heavier than my new one and it wipes off on my clothes too easily. Still one of the best though.

The Best & The Worst: Mascara

One of the most used makeup items I use is mascara. I'm obsessed with my eyes. I've tried so many brands of mascara over the past few years it's crazy. Luckily though, I've managed to find that perfect one that just knocks my socks off. Plus, I'll be showing you the ones that I have deemed "the worst".

The Worst:

1) Neutrogena healthy volume waterproof. The right picture. Okay, so I wouldn't exactly say this one is absolutely horrible. I actually really liked it when I first bought it, but overtime I became annoyed by how many coats I had to use just to get my lashes darker. I also hated scrubbing every night trying to get it off, ending up with raccoon eyes. It dried out fast and I'm not a fan of the oversized brush. But don't let that give Neutrogena a bad name. I adore their makeup.

2) Great Lash by Maybelline. The left. This is by far one of the worst mascaras I have ever tried. A friend of mine actually told me to get it and that it was worth the money. That couldn't be anymore of a lie. This stuff is so thick that it clumps like crazy. I didn't get beautiful long, black eyelashes at all. It was like glue. All my eyelashes stuck together and it looked so fake. The brush is so tiny and hard too. It doesn't even stay on that well, but I can't say that's exactly a bad thing considering I wanted to take it off the moment I put it on. I love Maybelline, but this, a big NO.

3) The Rocket Volume Express by Maybelline. The middle. This mascara deserves an award. It's literally the only mascara I buy anymore. It lasts all day, totally waterproof but not impossible to get off, it doesn't clump, the brush is rubbery and coats my eyelashes perfectly, it takes one coat, and it makes my eyelashes look longer. Two thumbs up. Good job Maybelline. I totally recommend.

Target haul.

So as you all can see I went to Target today and bought a few things. I'll be doing a review on them later once I figure out how they work for me.

1) Covergirl Clean pressed powder for oil control. It's color 535 medium light. The packaging says it's shine free, fragrance free and oil free.

2) Covergirl cgsmoothers BB cream. This is a tinted moisturizer with sunscreen SPF 15. It's in color 805 fair to light.

3)Neutrogena deep clean invigorating foaming scrub. I break out during the summer really easily. It smells fantastic.

4) Aussie moist 3 Minute Miracle. This is a deep conditioner for damaged hair. I've dyed my hair a million times, used bleach and have fried my hair with so much heat from heating tools, it's ridiculous. I've been trying to grow my hair out so I'll most likely be reviewing this in my planned 'How To Grow Long Hair' post.

5) Just an E.L.F powder brush. For $1 these things are great.

6) Just a cute tank top I couldn't help but buy. They have it in white too. No review, but trust me, so worth the money.

Bodycology Lotion & Mist

So I got these all in a pack for Christmas as a gift. I believe they were purchased from Target for $15. They're in the scent Enchanted Forest. When I first opened them I was really excited because obviously the packaging is super cute. Unfortunately, I'm not a huge fan of them at all. Personally the only good thing I can say about them is they smell really good, but only for about five minutes and then the scent just goes away. Now I don't know about anyone else, but I'm the type of person with really dry skin so lotion is a must. I immediately tried the body butter and was so disappointed to find out that it left my skin smooth for about twenty minutes. I mean, I want a lotion that's going to leave me with smooth skin all day, don't you?

Overall, I find the Bodycology products to be too much of a disappointment for me to spend any money on them and I don't recommend them.
